Job Summary:
The Sheet Metal Foreman - Roofing is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the installation, repair, and maintenance of sheet metal components in roofing projects. This includes supervising a team of sheet metal workers, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and managing job site activities to ensure timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervision & Leadership: Lead and direct a team of sheet metal workers, assigning tasks and ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Installation & Fabrication: Oversee the cutting, shaping, and installation of sheet metal roofing materials, including flashing, gutters, and panels.
  • Project Management: Coordinate work schedules, materials, and equipment to meet project deadlines and specifications.
  • Quality Control: Inspect completed work for accuracy, durability, and compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce workplace safety regulations, conduct safety meetings, and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues related to materials, installation, or crew performance.
  • Collaboration: Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Training & Development: Mentor and train less experienced workers in sheet metal roofing techniques and safety protocols.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Experience as a sheet metal worker with at least 5+ years in roofing.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or foreman role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of sheet metal roofing systems, fabrication, and installation techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices.
  • Physical ability to work at heights, lift heavy materials, and perform manual labor.

Work Environment:
  • Outdoor job sites with exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Requires climbing, lifting, and working at heights.
