As a 100% employee-owned company, we offer more than just a paycheck: we offer ownership, industry-leading benefits, and a supportive culture rooted in shared success.

Job Overview

As a Superintendent at Absher, you’ll be the boots-on-the-ground leader responsible for field operations on complex commercial construction projects. Your leadership, planning, and coordination will ensure safe, high-quality, on-time, and profitable project delivery. You’ll work closely with project managers, trade partners, and field teams to bring the project vision to life—building not just structures, but lasting relationships and trust.

What You’ll Do

  • Supervise, train, and mentor field labor, including craft workers and laborers
  • Lead by example with professionalism, time management, communication, and client service
  • Ensure field work is executed safely, with quality, and in alignment with schedule
  • Participate in preconstruction services, including constructability reviews and project planning
  • Coordinate site activities and maintain strong communication with Project Managers, clients, and crews
  • Prepare and manage CPM schedules and detailed look-ahead plans
  • Oversee daily and weekly reports, inspections, testing, and safety compliance
  • Monitor project costs and productivity, including labor and materials tracking

Why You’ll Be Successful

You bring deep field experience, strong leadership, and a passion for getting things built the right way. You’re proactive, adaptable, and thrive on managing both the big picture and the day-to-day.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5–10 years of relevant construction experience
  • Proven track record managing ground-up commercial projects (K-12, higher ed, hospitals, mixed-use, DoD, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of craft functions and union contracts
  • Experience with Procore and Primavera P6 (preferred)
  • OSHA 10 and First Aid/CPR certification
  • Junior college or vocational education background a plus
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusion, safety, and mentoring future leaders

Note: Absher is a Federal Contractor. All job offers are contingent upon a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
