Under general supervision, facilitates, coordinates and expedites the development, design, review, approval, and construction of County capital building projects and renovations. This is commercial construction of various levels including new buildings requiring design, bid and construction. Each Specialist must manage multiple projects concurrently.
Possession of a high school diploma or an appropriate equivalentplus six years’ experience in sub-professional engineering, construction (preferably construction), construction inspection, or a closely related field.(Additional qualifying education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of four years for the required experience.)Licenses and Certificates Possession of a valid driver's license equivalent to a noncommercial class C Maryland driver's license is required at the time of appointment.Proof of Licenses, Certifications and EducationApplicants are required to submit proof of licenses, certifications and education beyond high school to meet the required and preferred qualifications of the position.
