PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Maintenance Foreman is responsible for coordinating and supervising the operational functionality of production assets by meeting the needs of the assigned areas and contributing to continuous improvement. This includes collecting information and data concerning the needs of the assigned areas, organizing, and prioritizing these needs, then scheduling maintenance crews for resolution. Additionally, the Maintenance Foreman will be responsible for Asset Management, including upkeep of asset inventory that comprises of extensive parts lists & inventory of parts, and details of manufacturer's suggestions of maintenance schedules. Maintenance Foreman will ensure that preventative, predictive, and other maintenance types are performed for production assets by generating orderly and routine work orders or work orders prepared by Lead Foreman. Additionally, this position is responsible for coordinating assistance to all assigned areas if emergency repairs should be required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
:
Inherent responsibility to understand the demands of a production environment through a sense of urgency and respect
Assign and supervise assigned personnel by determining schedules and assignment of work orders
Purchase parts and supplies for work order completion
Monitor both Asset and Parts inventories to ensure adequate working conditions
Maintain records of maintenance and repairs through work orders
Contribute to continuous process improvement with focus on production assets and assigned personnel
Schedule maintenance projects in collaboration with both Production and Operational Services
Schedule and work with outside contractors as necessary
See that operational issues are resolved to the satisfaction of the assigned areas
All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Part 46 MSHA trained. Must comply with all applicable MSHA/OSHA regulations
Organizational and planning skills
Leadership experience
Communication skills
Understanding of maintenance concepts
Have the willingness to work in a team environment
