Job Description
Dragados USA is seeking Laborers to support the construction on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel expansion project. Laborers are responsible for performing various heavy physical work at our construction sites and building grounds in Virginia Beach.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Various duties may include cleaning and prepping sites, possibly digging trenches, setting braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, clean up rubble and debris and other hazardous waste materials.
  • May signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.
  • Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans or specifications.
  • Assist other craft workers as needed
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
    • Cutting Grass with push mower and weed eater
    • Painting equipment and miscellaneous items
    • Cleaning Fleet vehicles (Washing and vacuuming)
    • Loading and unloading materials with forklift
    • Assisting warehouse lead (preparing materials to go out, moving materials, organizing yard )
    • Assisting mechanics and electricians when needed
    • Sweeping and cleaning up warehouse
    • Picking up trash in the yard
    • Helping stock warehouse
    • willing to run man-lift, stake body, forklift
    • yard maintenance / housekeeping.

Required Qualifications
  • Must be able to communicate with others to convey information effectively.
  • Must demonstrate attention to details
  • Must be knowledgeable of safety procedures and practices
  • Able to frequently do the following: lifting, bending, climbing, standing, walking, and kneeling
  • Candidates with High School Diploma are strongly preferred
  • Experienced construction employees are strongly preferred
