As a Highway Rebar Project Manager, you will oversee complex transportation projects, ensuring on-time delivery, budget control, and the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety Leadership: Champion and enforce all safety programs, housekeeping practices, and site-specific protocols.
  • Project Oversight: Manage highway, road, and bridge rebar construction projects from kickoff through close-out, coordinating all detailing, scheduling, delivery, and cost control activities.
  • Contract & Drawing Review: Analyze contract documents, specifications, and drawings; identify discrepancies early and recommend cost-effective solutions.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison with contractors, engineers, architects, and internal teams to clarify scope, resolve issues, and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Change Management: Track and document scope changes, collaborate with estimating teams to validate cost impact, and execute change-order procedures.
  • Financial Stewardship: Monitor project budgets and financial performance, preparing regular status reports on progress, costs, and scheduling.
  • Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Generate project reports for leadership review; recommend process enhancements to boost productivity and accuracy.

Requirements


Minimum Qualifications

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field, OR three years of experience in rebar detailing or construction project management.
  • Proficiency in applying ACI codes and CRSI standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least three years of hands-on rebar project management or detailing experience.
  • Strong mathematical, leadership, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and customer-service abilities.

Physical & Special Requirements

  • Regular site visits requiring appropriate PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toe footwear, etc.).
  • Ability to work occasional overtime to meet project milestones.
  • Comfortable with standard office activities (sitting, standing, computer work) and moderate field-noise environments.
