Job Description
Custom Concrete is seeking hardworking, dedicated individuals to join our team as
Layout Crew Member

Position Overview:
As a Layout Crew Member, you will meticulously operate field equipment such as conventional total stations and data collectors. You will provide front-end locations and stakeouts and support other department crews to ensure the accurate construction of residential foundations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate Trimble robotic total stations to layout key points of the foundation at every stage of construction.
Utilize computers, tablets, smartphones, and Custom Tracker, our proprietary project management system.
Perform geometric and mathematical calculations, including angles, area, volume, and unit conversions.
Read, understand, and interpret building print specifications.
Ensure the calibration, security, and proper care of all company property and equipment.
Conduct site inspections and work independently without supervision.
Identify and report potential issues such as low power lines, missed digs, soft soil, or improper access.
Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
Maintain organized project documents and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Communicate revisions and work progress with crew members, residential operations managers, home builders, and homeowners.
Monitor and verify all work completed by crews, ensuring accuracy in measurements, square, plumb, elevation, and grade.
Perform tasks in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow.
Follow safety and incident reporting procedures, and wear appropriate PPE as stated in the employee handbook.

Work Environment:
Regularly work in outdoor conditions, including extreme weather.
Frequently work near moving mechanical parts and in wet or humid conditions.
Occasionally work in high places and be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, and electrical shock risks.
The noise level is usually loud.
Physical Demands:
Good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination.
Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Full-time position with typical workdays of 10-14 hours, 5-6 days a week.
Weekly average of 55-65 hours, with opportunities for additional hours.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Valid Indiana Driver's License, record in good standing, free of any major violations (DWI, reckless driving, drugs, leaving the scene of an accident, excessive moving violations or accidents)
