POSITION SUMMARY
This position plans, coordinates, and executes safety responsibilities as specified in project safety plans and the Barton Malow safety manual. This role is experienced with developing, implementing and monitoring the objectives, procedures and metrics relating to the strategic safety goals for the organization. This position is involved in leading and managing the work of a cross-functional and cross-regional safety team and performs essential duties and responsibilities independently. This position requires you to be a flexible and adaptable team player, as well as have strong organization, communication, leadership and client service skills. With support from executive leadership, this position is the champion for the Company safety program. The primary function of the safety role is to coordinate and manage all project safety responsibilities and effectively implement, execute, maintain and document all safety efforts at any size, scope or type of project.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides health and safety leadership along with direction to projects.

Manages the enforcement of safety policies and procedures across multiple project sites.

Acts as lead crisis and incident manager, ensuring that safety-related incidents and emergencies are managed.

Conducts daily safety inspections and audits inclusive of summaries noting any deviations from the Barton Malow safety manual and corrective actions that may be necessary to promote the health and safety of workers. Effectively addresses all project safety concerns that may develop or exist.

Leads or facilitates project safety meetings, orientations and participates in project leadership meetings for the presentation and dissemination of project safety matters.
