DevCo US Construction is hiring for a Full-Time Construction Project Estimator to join our collaborative team in Bellevue, WA!

Pay Details: $120,000-$135,000/per year

 

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Prepare written scopes of work by reviewing projects, breaking subsections out by division, and writing scopes to propose for bids.
  • Minimize scope gaps and overlaps in estimated budget costs for construction by studying plans and specifications for commercial multifamily and residential construction projects, which may include retail space.
  • Gather and analyze information from project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine project costs.
  • Consult with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather information and clarify project details.
  • Manage the bidding process and negotiate contracts with subcontractors.
  • Maintain accurate records of cost estimates and bids.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve estimating processes.
  • Resolve cost differences by analyzing and collecting information related to each geographic location’s property type.
  • Draft and present budgets, reports, and project plans to the team and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop bids for construction projects.
  • Navigate and understand building codes.
  • Stays up to date with safety codes and improvements in construction processes and regulatory standards.
  • Complete assigned tasks by deadlines and communicate any obstacles with your supervisor in advance.

  • Ability to navigate specifications and plans.
  • Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field desired.
  • 5+ years of experience as a project estimator in the commercial construction industry with multifamily experience strongly desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with construction materials, labor costs, and industry pricing trends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screen is required.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English in a manner sufficient to carry out the duties.
  • Must be legally qualified to work in the U.S., meeting I-9 guidelines.
