About the Role:
We’re looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead the on-site coordination and execution of single-family home construction projects in the Chattanooga area. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and experience managing residential builds from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of construction for multiple single-family homes
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, materials, and inspections
- Ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and compliance with local building codes
- Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, including developers, superintendents, and inspectors
- Identify and resolve issues proactively to avoid delays
- Conduct regular site walkthroughs and manage punch lists
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience managing residential construction (single-family preferred)
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and local building codes
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Proficient with scheduling software and project management tools
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred:
- OSHA 30 certification
- Experience in the Chattanooga market
- Background in working with production or custom home builders
