Job Description
RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Construction Manager in Garland, TX. This is a full-time, contract assignment with our client in the power industry. This position offers a competitive package including benefits, vacation, and holidays.
Overview of YOUR role as a Construction Manager
As a Construction Manager, YOU will:
· Oversee daily construction activities, ensuring all work is performed safely and efficiently on site.
· Conduct basic site inspections and monitor ongoing operations to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
· Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and field personnel to ensure project milestones are met.
· Maintain professional, client-facing communication and represent our client on site.
· Prepare and submit daily reports documenting site progress, issues, and updates.
· Utilize Microsoft Office and related software to support documentation and project coordination.
YOU are the ideal Construction Manager candidate if you have:
· Experience in the power industry, specifically within substation, transmission, or distribution construction.
· Strong communication and organizational skills.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced field environment.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other basic computer applications.
· A solid understanding of safety standards and field operations.
It’s a BONUS if you have:
· Prior project manager experience or managing subcontractors and field crews.
· Prior linemen experience.
· Experience with utility or EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) clients.
· A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
