The opportunity
Our US Gas Pipeline Projects organization is evolving to meet the needs of our growing business, and we are expanding our presence in Houston to support our Construction Management team.
We are seeking a Construction Management Resource Coordinator to be responsible for the coordination and alignment of delivering Construction Management & Inspection Resources for supporting various project programs entering the construction implementation phase. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong partnership, teamwork, communication and organizational skills and have the ability to prioritize and manage numerous and complex processes simultaneously with minimal supervision.
What you'll do
Lead the development, coordination, and implementation of a consolidated construction inspection resource coordination activity plan for all programs
Maintain excel spreadsheet analytics and provide monthly updates and action plans to effectively facilitate resource coordination and resource utilization to support all programs for the department
Assist in the process of selecting qualified and competent resources by identifying skill requirements and liaising with the Construction Management staff to obtain the construction inspection resources required
Develop and maintain relationships with Construction Management & Inspection Resource Service Providers and internal stakeholders such to acquire qualified resources
Oversee the day-to-day management of Construction Management & Inspection Resource Service Provider contracts and ensure performance measures are met, contracts are effective, and issues are being managed in a timely manner
Assist in resource strategy development with key stakeholder groups and by attending routinely scheduled meetings
Assist with coordinating activities associated with the resourcing of construction projects
Assist Construction Managers with scheduling and monitoring controls
Assist Operations, Project Management, Engineering, Environmental, Safety, Land, Field Staff and outside contractors to resolve resourcing and scheduling issues
Review resource staffing plans and communicate with the key stakeholders
Ensure core and contracted staff complete all the required training in a timely manner
Other tasks as required.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma
Certification in Talent Acquisition, API 1169 or technical diploma in a related field
5 or more years of experience in business analysis, project coordination, and/or construction management
Proven expertise in customer service or business relationship management
Experience/knowledge of related trade skills (Inspection) pipeline and facility practices
Field experience/exposure to operational and construction environments a plus
Strong business analysis, problem solving, and decision-making methodologies
Proven and recognized leadership skills for delegation, negotiation, and influencing
Experience/knowledge of construction projects relating to the pipeline industry, related trade skills and pipeline and facility
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Projects and MS Office Applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
Must be comfortable in public speaking and interaction.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Inspection Management, Construction Management, Business, or similar discipline
Experience with Field Glass, SAP and workday.
