Construction Litigation Attorney

Position: Construction Litigation Attorney
Location: Bloomfield Hills, MI

A highly respected and established law firm in the Midwest is seeking a Construction Litigation Attorney to join its Bloomfield Hills, Michigan office. This role will focus on handling construction law matters, particularly representing design professionals and contractors. The position will also involve OSHA-related matters and general commercial litigation.

Ideal candidates will have:

• 3–7 years of experience in commercial litigation, ideally with a focus on construction law

• Experience handling all aspects of litigation, including:

  • Drafting pleadings and motions

  • Managing discovery

  • Taking and defending depositions

  • Arguing motions in court

• Excellent legal research and brief-writing skills

• Strong client management abilities and a client-first approach

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school

• Active membership in the State Bar of Michigan

• A team-oriented mindset and responsiveness to both colleagues and clients

• Comfort with learning and using new legal tech platforms
