Job Description:

The Department of Facilities & Safety at the State University of New York College at Oneonta invites applications for the position of Construction Contract Administrator.

The Department of Facilities Planning and Safety is responsible for capital planning, delivery of capital projects, energy management, space management, facilities operations, and property control across 45 major buildings and approximately 2.4 million gross square feet of building floor space. Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Procurement process improvement
  • Implementation of a new construction management software platform
  • Analysis and process integration with stakeholders and other business systems
  • Oversight, operation, and maintenance of construction management platform
  • Analysis of procurement data
  • Development of reports
  • Assembly of construction bid packages
  • Processing change orders and claims for payment
  • Management of consultant procurement and prevailing wage cases with DOL.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 or more years of professional administrative work experience
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Additional:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Strong Customer service experience

Preferred:
  • Experience with software platforms incorporating workflow management
  • Experience with project management principles and tools
  • Experience with NYS and SUNY Procurement policies and procedures
  • Experience working with and serving diverse populations
