Overview
A growing civil construction company is seeking a Civil Estimator with 2–3 years of experience to support bid preparation and project pursuits. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical skills who is looking to advance their career within a fast-expanding organization. The Civil Estimator will gain exposure to large-scale infrastructure projects while working closely with senior estimating leadership.

The Role
The Civil Estimator will be responsible for assisting with takeoffs, developing preliminary cost estimates, and preparing bid packages for a range of civil projects. Reporting to the Chief and Senior Estimators, this role will involve close coordination with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams. Success in this position is defined by producing accurate estimates, supporting the timely delivery of bids, and developing into a more senior estimating role over time.

Responsibilities

  • Perform takeoffs and develop preliminary cost estimates for civil infrastructure projects.

  • Solicit, review, and analyze subcontractor and vendor pricing.

  • Assist in preparing complete, accurate, and competitive bid packages.

  • Review project plans and specifications to identify potential risks or challenges.

  • Collaborate with Senior and Chief Estimators to improve estimating processes.

  • Contribute to continuous learning and professional growth within the team.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of civil construction estimating experience.

  • Exposure to wet utilities, grading, mass excavation, and site development.

  • Working knowledge of AGTEK, Heavy Bid, HCSS, and On-Screen Takeoff (preferred).

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and eagerness to learn.

Salary
$100,000 – $130,000+ DOE, plus performance-based bonuses.
