This Opportunity
WSP USA is seeking an Aviation Construction Manager for our Tucson, AZ Office!

This position will serve as the Project Manager responsible for construction administration and oversight of runway / taxiway and secondary civil construction projects for the Tucson Airport Authority.
Your Impact
  • Scheduling, managing, and mentoring subordinate staff for satisfactory project delivery, and ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Scope development, scope management, and commercial performance of the project to meet project goals and objectives.
  • Oversight of preparation and approval of monthly reports, contract reviews, contract estimates and various project bid/proposal packages.
  • Written and oral communication with contractors, inspection personnel, utility companies, and subconsultants team members.
  • Monitoring of contract task financial data and request increases as needed.
  • Assists in preparation of various RFP responses and presentations in pursuit of additional work and maintaining WSP's positive working relationships with the client and its stakeholders including FAA, ADOT, and other government and private entities
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or other related degree from an accredited university with 12+ years related experience in airport pavement and other civil related construction projects as well as background in the policies and procedures of the FAA and related governmental agencies.
  • Essential license/certficiation as needed.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability in contract administration procedures for successful delivery of construction projects including final cost reconciliations, schedule, as-builts, and project close-out documentation.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) License preferred.
