About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated ASST. YARD FOREMAN to join our team in the Transportation and Warehousing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Yard Foreman in overseeing the daily operations of the yard, ensuring that all activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner. They will also be responsible for managing a team of yard workers, ensuring that they are properly trained and equipped to carry out their duties. The ASST. YARD FOREMAN will play a critical role in ensuring that our yard operations run smoothly and efficiently, and that our customers receive the highest level of service.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience in a yard or warehouse environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with forklift operation and maintenance
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations
  • Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Yard Foreman in overseeing the daily operations of the yard

  • Maintain accurate records of yard activities, including inventory levels and equipment maintenance

The ASST. YARD FOREMAN will use their strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team of yard workers and collaborate with other departments to ensure that customer needs are met. They will also use their familiarity with inventory management systems to maintain accurate records of yard activities, including inventory levels and equipment maintenance. Additionally, the ASST. YARD FOREMAN may use their experience with forklift operation and maintenance to assist with yard operations. Finally, the ASST. YARD FOREMAN may use their knowledge of DOT regulations and experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to identify areas for improvement and implement process improvements.
